We believe.....
• The Holy Scriptures, in their original form are divinely inspired, without error, and are entirely trustworthy. They constitute the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct
• There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
• The Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in flesh: we affirm his virgin birth, sinless humanity, divine miracles, vicarious and atoning death, his bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, and his personal return in power and glory. Without Him, our present life is filled with fruitless ambition and eternity with unspeakable anguish in hell
• The salvation of the lost is possible only through the merits of the shed blood of Jesus Christ, received by faith alone in Christ alone apart from human works
• The Holy Spirit enables believers to live a life of work for and witness to the Lord Jesus Christ
• There is a literal Second Coming of Jesus Christ at which time every individual will be accountable to Him at the final judgement
• We believe in two Sacraments. The Lord's Supper and Baptism are Sacraments instituted by Jesus Christ. They are visible signs of God's invisible grace. Children of believers participate in God's covenant promises and blessings of God, of which baptism is a sign and seal. Baptism by water is itself a promise of God's washing away of sins when such children genuinely repent of their sins. All who are members of a church and have accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour are invited to the Lord's Table. (We celebrate communion 6 times per year). …God is sovereign. He is a God who restores us and sustains us. He is our ever-present help, our Providence. All thanks befalls us is for our good and we faithfully endeavour to trust only in Him, even when such providence is bitter and/or hard to understand
• The above statements are meant to be a general summary of our beliefs. A more comprehensive expression can be found in The Heidelberg Catechism, The Canons of Dort, The Belgic Confession, and The Westminster Confession
